His home named Thever Bhavan displays countless documents that exemplify each step of his development as a well known astrologer. These documents include video tapes and photographs of rare moments that he had spent with famous personalities and their written certifications for Prof.Kutty's apt predictions. The home displays awards and citations that he had received also. He considers these awards and other documents as manifestation of the achievements of his life and he keeps them close to his heart.
It was in 1956, when he was 17 year old, that he made his early predictions by palm reading. It happened once that he examined the palms of Chinna swami kaunder and his friend Mottiyam Chettiyar, as they were returning after bath from Kurrisy pond. As Kutty started talking about kaunder's second wife, even his close friend Mr.Chettiyar got astonished. Both were convinced of kutty's sheer ability to predict. The very next day they enquired about kutty's house. Since kutty was not appreciated of his capabilities by his family, he took the visitors to his sister's house. His brother-in-law was also not knowing of kutty's ability to predict, "Can he make predictions", his brother-in-law exclaimed. Lot many people had the same question to be asked about Mr.Kutty. But the astrologer in kutty satisfied all their questions.
A staunch devotee right through his childhood, his villagers and members of family called him 'Poojari Raman'. Poojas at the three hundred years old Kaikoodam Tiru Thevar Murukan's temple were performed by kutty's family. Lord Murugan was Mr. Kutty's family idol, too. When Kutty was suffering from small pox he was felt the presence of lord Murugan and was cured of the disease. Mr. Kutty claims that it was then the first phase of his progress began.
Mr.Kutty do not follow any particular guru, how ever, he studied under Kottyam Swaminada Sasthrikal, Viswanatha Muthaliyyar, and Appu Panickar for some time. Then he made his own reading of ancient and rare manuscripts - Thaliyolas and practiced astrology and palmistry. Kutty considered his capabilities to be god's special blessings to him.
His much acclaimed and first notable prediction was of cini-star Sathyan's death. Since then many important events were foreseen and predicted by this man from Kollamkode. Kutty claims that he could predict the assassination of Smt. Indira Gandhi.
Considering his achievements in palmistry, then the Palakkad collector Mr. Gigi Thomson honored him by conferring a doctorate degree to Mr. Kutty. Followed by the Calicut University bestowed him the status of professor on June 26, 1997 by the Pro vice chancellor, Mr.Madhava menon, in a memorable function held at Palakkad music academy. Mr. Kutty was honored with many titles like Hastharekha Praveen, Hastharekha thilakam, Hastharekha Siromani, Sollum selvam etc. A school by name Gayathri Vidya Peedam is also run by him.
He had visited the Middle East countries recently, besides the four foreign tours in his 35 years work span as palmist. He is on his way to his fifth international tour that includes London, Australia, Japan USA etc. infact; it is the Malayali Associations all over the world that is taking care of his tour program.
Mr. Kutty is very critical of the atheists and intellectuals who have disregards for astrology and palmistry. And he confronts them to be un scientific. According to him they do so only for cheap popularity and vanity. He claims that famous atheists including Dr. Kovoor, Pavanan, Idamaruku and eminent cultural personality Dr. Sukumar Azhikode had visited him in person approved of his predictions, though in secret.
The film personalities are more curious about their future, he says. He had predicted future of many Malayalam cini artists including famous actors like Sathyan, Prem Nasser, Madhu, Thikkurusy, Mammootty, Mohanlal, Jayaram, Dileep, Urvasi etc, and Vinod Khanna, Shivaji Ganeshan, Prabhu, Arjun, Rajinikanth, etc from Hindhi & Tamil movie dome.
Mr.Kutty frankly admits that his only mistaken prediction was about Mr.A.K.Antony, the chief minister of kerala. He could not foresee the chance of Mr.Antony to have a married life. 
Soon Prof. T. M. R. Kutty would earn a birth in Guinness book of world records as the palmist who read and predicted record number of palms. The Guinness book of world records authorities have already completed primary enquires and collected proofs about Mr. Kutty's achievements.

Mr.T.M.R.Kutty, bourn to Panangattiri Murugan Mannadiyyar and Parukuttyamma, is married to Baghyalakshmi and has three sons Jayaprakash, Murugadas, Kaladharan and two daughters Shailaja and Sujatha.
